Ops teams ran critical workflows on shared spreadsheets, approvals, product requests, field checklists. Fragile, unauditable, and painful at scale.
The decision
Chose Power Apps on Dataverse over Bespoke web apps
Ops teams needed governance and speed, not custom code. Low-code shipped in weeks and stayed maintainable.
How I approached it
- 01Interviewed teams to find the top spreadsheet-driven workflows.
- 02Rebuilt each as a Power App backed by Dataverse with proper roles and audit trail.
- 03Integrated with Power Automate for approvals and notifications.
- 04Kept the UI minimal, teams adopted without training.
